Amend regulations on handling of money and assets related to terrorism

New rule on investor selection for land-using projects

Principle for applying the List of food, food additives, food containers, and packaging materials with HS Codes

The Minister of Health promulgates the Circular No. 15/2024/TT-BYT dated September 19, 2024 on the List of food, food additives, food containers, and packaging materials in direct contact with food with HS codes determined according to the Vietnam’s Nomenclature of exports and imports, subject to state inspection for food safety of imported goods under the Ministry of Health’s management.

On September 23, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications issues the Circular No. 111/2014/TT-BTTTT on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 03/2015/TT-BTTTT prescribing printing activities, Circular No. 05/2016/TT-BTTTT defining the management and use of international standard book numbers, Circular No. 22/2018/TT-BTTTT on promulgating Lists of imports and exports in the fields of printing and distribution of publications and Circular No. 09/2013/TT-BTTTT on providing the List of software, hardware and electronic products.

Amend the Circular on the issuance of the State Bank bills

On August 30, 2024, the State Bank of Vietnam promulgates Circular No. 44/2024/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing Clause 2 Article 2 of the Circular No. 16/2019/TT-NHNN dated October 22, 2019 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, on the issuance of the State Bank bills. Additionally, a number of subjects permitted to purchase and sell State Bank bills from October 23, 2024.

From October 16, 2024, Vietnam ceases to provide 2G network services

The Ministry of Information and Communications issues Circular No. 10/2024/TT-BTTTT, dated September 13, 2024, which effectively delays the cessation of 2G services and specifies that the GSM mobile communications systems using the frequency bands from 1,710-1,785 MHz, 1,805-1,880 MHz, 880-915 MHz, and 925-960 MHz will cease to supply 2G network services.

Law on Health Insurance to be revised for better assurance of patients’ interests

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is working to revise the 2008 Law on Health Insurance, focusing on provisions specifying cases in which patients might enjoy full coverage for medical examination and treatment costs without having to follow procedures for treatment-line transfer, cases in which patients are ineligible for health insurance benefits, and persons who are required to participate in health insurance.
