Draft Law on E-commerce approved

Decree No. 78/2026/ND-CP supplements new provisions on the handling of administrative violations (VPHC) in the electronic environment in the insurance business sector. This is a completely new provision compared to Decree No. 174/2024/ND-CP.

Decree No. 78/2026/ND-CP amends and supplements a number of provisions of Decree No. 174/2024/ND-CP on sanctioning of administrative violations in the insurance business sector.

Ministry of Public Security has proposed amendments to regulations governing how authorities manage the entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners, aiming to strengthen inter-agency coordination amid a rise in violations.

Under the new regulation, banks will discontinue services that allow customers to assign nicknames, or “iNick”, to their accounts.

Starting from April 1, 2026, pursuant to Circular No. 30/2025/TT-NHNN amending Circular No. 15/2024/TT-NHNN, payment account names must match the information on the Citizen's Identity Card or Identity Card.

Vietnam has established an appraisal council to review proposed changes to the investment policy for the Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power project.

Under the decision, the allocation will be sourced from the central budget revenue surplus recorded in 2025 and assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
