Implementation plan for restructuring the inspection system officially issued

The Prime Minister has promulgated Decision No. 755/QD-TTg on the Plan for implementing the Conclusion of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the Scheme for restructuring the inspection system towards streamlining, strength, performance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister has directed the restructuring of the organizational apparatus and personnel of the Government Inspectorate on the basis of terminating the operations of 12 Ministerial Inspectorates and 5 departments under the Government Inspectorate; and merging the Inspector Training School and the Institute of Inspection Strategy and Science.

At the same time, the Prime Minister instructed the following tasks to be carried out:

  • Receive and reassign civil servants performing inspection duties from the 12 Ministerial Inspectorates to relevant departments and units of the Government Inspectorate in accordance with task requirements;

  • Arrange civil servants of the departments and units under the Government Inspectorate according to the new organizational structure;

  • Hand over and receive Party member records, civil servant files, and other related matters;

  • Implement relevant regimes and policies for civil servants during the restructuring process in accordance with regulations.

In addition, the restructuring of the organizational apparatus and personnel of provincial-level Inspectorates shall be carried out based on the termination of the operations of district-level Inspectorates and Department-level Inspectorates, to be reorganized into units under the provincial-level Inspectorates.

The restructuring process must be completed in line with the schedule for implementing the policy on restructuring provincial-level administrative units.

Decision No. 755/QD-TTg is issued on April 13, 2025.
