A number of new regulations on interest rate from November 20, 2024

The State Bank of Vietnam issues a number of Circulars providing the application of interest rates applicable to Vietnam-dong deposits of organizations and individuals at credit institutions and foreign bank branches

In particulars:

- Circular No. 48/2024/TT-NHNN providing the application of interest rates applicable to Vietnam-dong deposits:  Credit institutions shall apply their interest rates applicable to VND deposits of organizations and individuals which must not higher than the maximum interest rate applicable to demand deposits, deposits with a term of less than one month, and deposits with a term of one month to less than six months.

A number of new regulations on interest rate from November 20, 2024

- Circular No. 47/2024/TT-NHNN amending forms of deposits eligible for early withdrawal from certificates of deposits, promissory notes, treasury bills, bonds issued by credit institutions to certificates of deposits issued by credit institutions.
- Circular No. 46/2024/TT-NHNN on Credit institutions shall apply interest rates applicable to US Dollar deposits, which must not exceed the maximum interest rate decided by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam in each period, with regard to deposits of organizations and deposits of individuals.
