
Under the new regulations, a fine ranging from VND 30 million to VND 70 million shall be imposed for providing untruthful or inaccurate information in any of the following applications:
- Application for enterprise registration;
- Application for registration of branch or representative office operations;
- Application for registration of changes in enterprise registration information;
- Application for registration of changes in branch, representative office or business location registration information;
- Notification of changes in enterprise registration information;
- Notification of establishment of a business location;
- Application for enterprise dissolution;
- Applications and information relating to the beneficial owner of an enterprise and information used to identify the beneficial owner.
Accordingly, the new regulations apply not only to applications for enterprise establishment or changes in enterprise registration information, but also to enterprise dissolution applications, applications relating to dependent units, and information concerning the beneficial owner.
Notably, bringing information on the beneficial owner within the scope of administrative sanctions is intended to strengthen enterprises' responsibility for declaring, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of business registration information.
Therefore, when carrying out procedures for establishing, changing, reorganizing, or dissolving an enterprise, applicants should carefully review all information in the application to ensure consistency with legal documents and the enterprise's actual status. Providing false, inaccurate, or concealed information may result in fines of up to VND 70 million.
Decree No. 288/2026/ND-CP takes effect on July 21, 2026.
