In 2026, the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence to updated every 03 years

This content is provided in Decision No. 367/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan for implementation of the Law on Artificial Intelligence 2025, issued on February 28, 2026.

According to the Plan for implementation of the Law on Artificial Intelligence 2025 promulgated together with Decision No. 367/QĐ-TTg, the Government shall organize the formulation and promulgation of the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence in order to orient the development, application, and management of artificial intelligence nationwide.

Artificial Intelligence to updated every 03 years

Specifically, the Ministry of Science and Technology is assigned to take the prime responsibility for updating and promulgating the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence. In the course of formulating the Strategy, the Ministry of Science and Technology shall coordinate with ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Government-attached agencies, and People’s Committees at all levels to ensure that the contents of the Strategy are consistent with the requirements for development and state management of artificial intelligence.

According to the Plan, the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence will be promulgated in 2026. After promulgation, the Strategy shall be reviewed, assessed, and updated periodically at least once every three years, or adjusted in case of major changes in technology and the market.

In addition, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Government-attached agencies, and People’s Committees at all levels are responsible for incorporating the objectives and tasks of the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence into their sectoral and local development strategies and plans, and for ensuring resources for its implementation.
