Hanoi has not temporarily collected tuition fees in 2022-2023

On August 26, 2022, the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi issues Official Dispatch No. 2534/SGDDT-KHTC promulgating the temporary guidance on not collecting tuition fees in the school year of 2022 - 2023.

According to the Official Dispatch, the Department of Education and Training coordinates with the relevant units to report to the People’s Committee, submit to the People’s Council to approve the Resolution prescribing the tuition fees for preschools, public schools in Hanoi in the school year of 2022 - 2023  at the 9th session (thematic session) of People’s Council of Hanoi at the course XVI of the 2021 - 2026 term.

During the waiting time for the People’s Council to issue the Resolution. The Department of Education and Training suggests People's Committee of districts, communes, and towns direct public education establishments (excluding high-quality public education establishments) not to temporarily collect the tuition fees until the time of new guidelines.

The ninth meeting of People’s Council of Hanoi at course XVI is planned to happen on September 12, 2022.
Besides, Ho Chi Minh city and Ca Mau temporarily do not determine the tuition fee at the beginning of the year.
Some other localities such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho have had information for exempting the tuition fees in the school year of 2022 - 2023  for preschool and high school in the region.

According to a Plan to implement the Law on Artificial Intelligence issued under Prime Minister Decision 367/QD-TTg, the national strategy on artificial intelligence will be issued soon. Following its issuance, the strategy shall be reviewed, evaluated and updated at least once every three years or adjusted upon significant fluctuations in technology and the market.
