Government issues the list of drugs and precursor substances

On August 25, 2022, the Government issues the Decree No. 57/2022/ND-CP on prescribing the List of drugs and precursor substances.

In particular, the Decree 57 issues 04 list of drugs and precursor substances, including:

List I: Drugs are absolutely prohibited to use in medicine and life and the usage of these substances in research, assessment, testing, and criminal investigation.

List II: Drugs are limited to use in research, assessment, testing, and criminal investigation in medical field.

List III: Drugs are used in research, assessment, testing, and criminal investigation in medical and veterinary fields.

List IV: Precursor substances

The Minister of Public Security, the Ministers and Heads of ministerial-level agencies, government-attached agencies, the Presidents of People’s Committees of provinces and cities, and relevant organizations shall implement this Decree.

The Decree takes effect on August 25, 2022.
