Service support of up to VND 2.7 million/month from July 20, 2026

The Government’s Decree No. 199/2026/ND-CP on service support policies was promulgated on June 5, 2026.

Under Article 3 of Decree No. 199/2026/ND-CP, service support amounts are divided into three levels:

- The amount of VND 2,700,000/month shall apply to:
  • Leadership titles and positions under the Political Bureau’s management specified in Regulation No. 368-QD/TW;
  • Officers with the rank of Colonel General and holders of titles and positions with the highest rank of Colonel General in the People’s Public Security Forces;
  • Colonel General, Admiral, and holders of titles and positions with the highest military rank of Colonel General in the Vietnam People’s Army.
Service support of up to VND 2.7 million/month from July 20, 2026

- The amount of VND 2,000,000/month shall apply to:
  • Officers with the rank of Lieutenant General and holders of titles and positions with the highest rank of Lieutenant General in the People’s Public Security Forces;
  • Lieutenant General, Vice Admiral, and holders of titles and positions with the highest military rank of Lieutenant General in the Vietnam People’s Army.
The amount of VND 1,350,000/month shall apply to:
  • Leadership titles and positions under the management by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee specified in Regulation No. 368-QD/TW;
  • Officers with the rank of Major General and holders of titles and positions with the highest rank of Major General in the People’s Public Security Forces;
  • Major General, Rear Admiral, and holders of titles and positions with the highest military rank of Major General in the Vietnam People’s Army.

Under Clause 3, Article 4 of Decree No. 199/2026/ND-CP, when the subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree hold multiple titles or positions, they are entitled to the service support amount corresponding to the highest-ranking title or position.

In addition, under Clause 1, Article 4 of Decree No. 199/2026/ND-CP, when the subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree are transferred, rotated or seconded, the support amounts shall be applied according to the positions to which they are transferred, rotated or seconded.

At the same time, Clause 2, Article 4 of Decree No. 199/2026/ND-CP provides that when the subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree no longer hold their titles or positions, retire, or pass away, they are no longer entitled to the service support policies.
