This target was set by the Prime Minister in the Scheme on "Digital transformation for medium and small-size enterprises for the 2026–2030 period," approved under Decision No. 433/QD-TTg issued on March 16, 2026.
The scheme is promulgated alongside Decision No. 433/QD-TTg, aims to enhance the digital readiness and capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through support packages tailored to the needs, scale, and specific characteristics of each industry and sector. This initiative is designed to drive comprehensive digital transformation, improve productivity, and increase adaptability to market fluctuations.
According to Decision No. 433/QD-TTg, the goal by 2030 is to provide digital transformation support to at least 500,000 SMEs through activities such as digital readiness assessments, the piloting and application of digital technology products and solutions, and consulting and training to enhance digital capacity.
Among these, at least 300,000 enterprises will be supported in the application of digital technology platforms, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Additionally, the Scheme aims to establish approximately 200 exemplary SMEs in digital transformation across key industries and sectors, including science and technology, processing and manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, commerce, logistics, finance, education, and tourism.
Simultaneously, a digital transformation consultant network will be developed with at least 500 participating organizations and individuals possessing the professional expertise and practical experience necessary to assist enterprises throughout their digital transformation process.
